Welcome to the home of the FreedomX linux operating system.

FreedomX is

a remastered (modified) version of Ubuntu Linux,

trying to provide

a more balanced, self-contained, and more usable distro,

with lesser package restrictions (and more Freedom) for the user,
(enabling the availability and installation of a lot more required packages),

without being crumped with 'too much' (*) packages,
(* 'too much' - as seemed reasonable to my personal senses and usage style),

or involving any hacking of the core distro
(maintaining full upward compatibility with the original repositories, so that you get all updates and more as soon as they are released).
